The increase in pay, free meals and new friendships were the reasons mentioned by a couple of students.

Initially I had thought working with only audio would be easy, but two challenges I faced were writing my script in a conversational voice and finding good soundbites. Most of the time, the two students I interviewed spoke slowly at certain points or paused a lot in their speech, which made it hard to find quick soundbites. Overall, I liked learning how to write a script and how to do an audio wrap. Although I know I can get better with more practice, I’d have to say I’m pleased with the result, and the process was better than expected.

Listen hereto learn about the benefits of working in the University’s dining services!

Also, here’s a look at my script:

Student Employment: Perks of Working in University Dining Services
TRT: 1:25
OUT Q: OFF THE SHELF AND ONLINE

SONY KASSAM REPORTER

MAX MCKITTRICK SENIOR, DINING SERVICES STUDENT SUPERVISOR

THURMAN ETCHISON STUDENT PROGRAM COORDINATOR FOR DINING SERVICES

EMIL ISAAKOV SENIOR, DINING SERVICES STUDENT EMPLOYEE

MAX MCKITTRICK SENIOR, DINING SERVICES STUDENT SUPERVISOR

TAKE PKG W/REPORTER

TRACK 1

12-hundred student employees serve in the Universitys dining halls and catering making it one of the most popular employment services for students.
