“The University Of Illinois, Your Home Away From Home!”
By Timothy Johnston Jr.

One of the reasons the students love to return!
As the school year comes to an end, the students are excited to return to the University Of Illinois in the fall. They love many things about this University; including: the beautiful scenery, the very friendly staff, the variety of place to go.'

The Arboretum:
The scenery at the University of Illinois is outstanding. According to a student if the University: “My favorite place on campus would be the Main Quad, because it offers such a fantastic view of the buildings. Also, it offers a great place to study and hangout with friends, especially on 'a sunny day.” A second student of the University states: “When I first got here it was just something about the environment, just like it was home…” I know that if you saw all of this beautiful scenery, you would probably love the scenery too.
The Arboretum’s gardens, collections, and habitats that are located on south part of campus takes up 160 acres of the University campus.. It is called the Arboretum. In 1991, the center point of the Arboretum was developed.

What about historic places?
Some student and staff like the historic part of the campus; such as: the historic statues that you can find all around the campus. There are many different statues that you can find on the first floor of Gregory Hall, that are available to be seen by the many people who come to the University Of Illinois campus.
While I have been here there has been many friendly staff members and students, throwout the University. They will help you get where you need to go, even when they are trying to get somewhere themselves of time.

Why should I attend the University Of Illinois?
A student, class of 2019, states: “The professors are top in tier in their field and are very passionate about their field and are very passionate about their lectures.” Are you wondering why the professors are very very passionate about their lectures?
Listen to Dr. Collins talking about.. why she is so passionate, here.

Hello, I am Timothy Johnston Jr. I have had a great week, here at here at the University Of Illinois. When, I first got here, I thought I was going to be bored and that the academy was not going to be hands on. Instead, It was so much fun!! I enjoyed everything that I did here. I loved the beautiful scenery. There is many different thing that I like about this 4-H Summer Academy and the University Of Illinois; such as: meeting new people, the friendly students and staff, the food (especially the ice cream), and so many more things that are unexplainable right now. All around it was really really fun and I had a wonderful, fun-filled week with many different people.
I am glad that I decided to take the Journalism class for the 2017 4-H Illini Summer Academies. I did many different things; including: editing video, editing sound clips/bites, and many other things too. I was amazed, when I finished my article, interview, editing, photo shooting, and publishing all within 3 days.
I would like to thank all of the 4-H staff and volunteers. I would also like to thank all of the University Of Illinois staff.
Thank you,
Tim Johnston Jr.
