I can’t believe that the end is already here. This semester has provided me with some amazing opportunities to be encompassed by many forms of art. All different in their various messages, mediums of presentations, and individual style. I knew art was expressive, but this class helped me put meaning to the concept.' The performances I attended included:
Marcus Tardelli, guitar ELLNORA Reverb
Between the Buildings: Art from Chicago, 1930s'1980s
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Itzhak Perlman, violin with Rohan De Silva, piano
Cynthia Oliver/COCo Dance Theatre: Virago-Man Dem
In conclusion, my experience in FAA 110 has definitely been memorable. I enjoyed some shows more than other, however I appreciated all of it for the cultural aspects that they have brought into my life. I think that this class is an eye opener to art being defined as more than just place to draw, paint, etc. It definitely has helped me become more well- rounded with what I identify as music, and how self can be expressed in many different forms. In my next semester, I hope to continue to go to shows and have these new experiences. I don’t want them to stop because the class has ended, so I’m going to make that happen.
